Minnesota Vikings

How come it seems like every NFL Team plays the same 4 teams every preseason just in a different order?

How come it seems like every NFL Team plays the same 4 teams every preseason just in a different order like example i live closer to philadelphia and they play The New York Jets , New England Patriots , Baltimore Ravens ,Cleveland Browns and occasionally they'll swap one of them teams with either Carolina Panthers or New Orleans Saints does anyone knows why the NFL does such a thing

  1. I love football but frankly, I never paid attention to such things. Preseason games are a terribly expensive joke in my opinion. Owners try to pretend they matter so that fans don't burn them in effigy for charging a full ticket price and forcing them into season ticket packages. The players and coaches don't care about the score so much as looking at talent on the bubble.
  2. you know i noticed that too but some times it changes srry i dont know
  3. That's easy, its because some weeks are shorter in between games and they don't want to fly across the country for a meaningless preseason game. So they rather play teams in their region from the other conference. For example the Browns always seem to play Chicago, Detroit, Green Bay and Minnesota. At least 3 of those for sure. Because they are the closest teams next to them not in their division. This year, they actually wont play the Vikings since they open the regular season vs them. So they play the Titans this preseason. I'd like to see it mixed up and to see the 49ers or cowboys in Cleveland besides the once every 8 years in the regular season, but I doubt it happens.
  4. travel expenses and the refs are cheaters
  5. Preseason is a joke. No true NFL fan gives a flying foo about the preseason. For real.
  6. Who cares,it's just preseason
  7. Simply economics, though there are some changes each year. I know what you mean though and many times, it is a way to also "apease" the fans but the games aren't games, just a chance to see your team and maybe squeeze in some autographs if you are lucky enough. Personally, shorten the pre-season, start the season early...and lower ticket prices!! We regular fans can't afford to go to as many games any more
  8. Simple, they don't feel like buying a plane and flying long distances, for something that doesn't matter at all. They however charge the same ticket price, to get more money.
  9. I never really noticed but the Raiders always play the 49ers because of their rivalry
