Does it bother Gridiron players that they can't play representative games?

Players in other sports such as football, rugby, cricket, tennis and basketball get to play for their country on the world stage in the Olympics or world championships. Football's World Cup is the second biggest sporting event in the world after the Olympics. But Gridiron doesn't get to do this. Does it bother the Gridiron players at all?

  1. yea it bothers them all the way to the bank they don't care what the world thinks what happens in america and on their paychecks is all they or we care about
  2. No it doesnt bother players to my knowledge because as long as the NFL keeps the Super Bowl as a WORLD Champion then who can really argue with that. And who would want to argue that. Football is a very intense sport. So to play a season then playoffs then try for the olympics would damn near kill people who play. Also other countries arent as advanced in football knowledge as in America and it would be a total blowout every year
  3. I doubt it, it isnt played throughout the whole world so it would be lopsided anyway.
  4. There actually is a world cup of American football. The US usually sends a group of graduating college players that aren't going to make in in the NFL, and they still end up winning. Since there is no real international tradition in the game, it isn't a big deal.
